Carbon fibre can be bad for fading laquer, wet and dry it with p800, give it a light coat then a generous coat. you may have to repeat the process a few times.

Get a decent uv resistant clear coat to help with future fading.

Being a painter i would always suggest to get it into a pro to put a couple of good coats of clear.

If you take yyour time it can be done out of a can and look pretty good.

I would recommend no coarser paper than 1200 wet and dry to be honest, then 1500 after the first 2-3 coats are dry, then apply 2-3 more coats, 1500 and polish using something like g3.

Oh and listy, unless your using a spraygun i wouldnt attempt anything as big as a bonnet! That would be brave, always vinyl wrap thou! ;-)

Need any help drop me a pm

cheers
