rob_sri
Started chopping the old suspension out.. Drop links were a bit stubborn so I got the old grinder out! Rusty bits all scrubbed down with a wire brush.. Waxoyled body and high temp paint for the suspension components

Luxluc
Sorry for probably having missed it, but what turbo and manifold is that?
rob_sri
It's come a lonnnnng way so far but there's still a long way to go! It's an XS manifold with the addition of vband flanges on Quality is actually really quite good.. Welds are incredible!
supra_ufo
those parts do look like very decent quality.
Luxluc
It's an XS manifold with the addition of vband flanges on Quality is actually really quite good.. Welds are incredible! Yeah ... quality looks impressive. Is it a 60 mm turbo?
rob_sri
Yeah ... quality looks impressive. Is it a 60 mm turbo? It's a XS T61 here's the exact spec.. Might switch out to a Borg Warner unit when it's all built up but I've heard plenty of good things about these turbos on similar builds
rob_sri
So got the BC RS Type RA coilovers in today after picking them up after work Think the lows make it look wider somehow! Still gotta mess around with the height a bit so il get some proper SLR shots after Edited June 6, 2014 by rob_sri (see edit history)

rob_sri
Sweet! Loving the new stance. Cheers mate I'm very happy with the set up.. the Pillowball mounts don't seem that harsh and still has a good ride and feels a lot more planted than it was.. Still needs some adjustment to get it sitting completely level think I may take it for a full geometry set up soon

supra_ufo
very nice mate, did you have to roll the arches to stop scrubbing?
rob_sri
Yeah I've rolled the rears, the fronts were fine.. However I'm playing about with the ride height at the moment and think it will need to go up a bit on the front as it does rub occasionally on bad pot holes.. Want it to be as low as possible but handling/ drivability is more important
supra_ufo
I am going to be getting the same coilovers at some point and then eventually wheels. are you going for a front lip?
