et38 mate

I ran 18" 9.5J ET30 all round for a short while with 235/40 front tyres and 255/35 rear tyres. They just cleared on the rear and wouldn't rub on the front unless you went mega low. That was with stock arches. In the end I actually had the rear arch lips trimmed and spaced the rears 10mm.

hmm now im thinking 255/35 rear and 245/35 front.. i dont want too much stretch and risk ruining the handling.. but i want to be able to go nice and low when i get my coils in the next few months

I ran 235's up front on the 9.5J's and the car handled really well in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I know nothing about handling and have never done a track day but the car felt awesome with great feedback. It actually felt more precise than with the 255/35/18 R888's I have up front now. However, the R888's grip much, much better - especially when they're warm :)

245 will be a nice stretch for the rear and then 235 will be fine for the front

They were rubbish at Santapod but I think that's because they were cold. On the private test track though, once they're warm, they're brilliant - transform the car as I can get power in every gear. However, I really could do with four new tyres for next year so I will be reverting back to a road tyre :( Going for a 295 in the rear though so should still get some power down :)

As for Curborough.. I'm game.. Even if I have to do it in my new winter runabout :D

Oooh.. BC coilovers... I rate them very well. Only had a short experience as I sold the car not long after but they seemed very good. Adjustable from spine breaking down to something on par with the stock Bilsteins. Steering felt heavier.. but better. Felt more planted round corners oppose to the stock Bilsteins.

haha 295 bloody wide! that should definitely help you get the power down!!! what power are you aiming for?? forgot to ask.. 235/245 on a 35 or 40 profile?

they sound perfect tbh! means I can waft around day to day and then rack it up to new spine setting for track :D I think my rear shocks may of had it.. I get a bit of a knocking when i foot it at the moment and the springs look a bit crap and in need of a refresh!

Not sure on what I'm aiming for mate but needless to say I'll be hoping for more power than my gearbox will hold :D
