rob_sri
Wow, really nice build looks great What a transformation : WOW. What a bloody difference, looks fantastic, I have seen worse paint on 3 year old cars!! Looking very nice on what is a difficult colour to keep clean. thanks guys, quite a big difference ! even the mrs noticed still nowhere near perfect in person due to stone chips and what looks like where bird sh*t has been left on the bonnet.. but as good as it can be without paint..it looks so much better! can you come and polish mine? Detail UK can: https://www.facebook.com/DetailUK ! They were the ones that did this haha not me! I think I'd go spoilerless myself with this! tempting.. I love the spoiler though I think its too iconic and kind of what makes the Supra.. would be a shame to get rid of it! think the plan is to paint it.. masking the toyota badge and the supra badge so that they stencil onto the boot so the boot is black and you're left with them showing in carbon fibre - something a bit different
Timlowthian
Looks great! Id stick with the wing I always think it needs something there. Like the idea of the logo showing through in carbon bee good to see it done.

supra_ufo
painting carbon is wrong, that's my opinion anyway :-) Looking good mate.
rob_sri
Haha I know mate it doesn't seem right but I've got this idea in my head lol! The emblems in carbon with a TRD wing with carbon blade... Think it's easy to go OTT with carbon, if prefer jus little subtle touches

Supra Gaz
Looking brilliant mate, nice work on the interior. Poorboys wax is lovely on the 202 black, I recommend it. Some facelift headlights and a front lip and it would be sorted!

See that barn to the left... That's where it originated from..! Certainly come a long way!! To Close up of cam cover
rob_sri
I decided to do something about the awful std speakers in the car and start off with a Bit of pikey sound deadening after reading some posts on talkaudio forums of people getting some good results.. Thought I would try it in the rear speakers Rear speaker pods before After.. Tape under fixings.. The reduction in vibration is much better.. I used an iPhone app called 'Bass Hz' which has a frequency tone. Around 70Hz freq was perfect for finding rattles.. Whilst playing this freq to start with touching the panel would reduce vibrations and the sound would become cleaner.. By the time I had done the sound stayed the same.. No rattles and actually deeper tones when fading from L balance to R balance the difference was noticeable I've just bought some focal ps165 components to go with my mb quart amp which I had in my old car So il be making some brackets up like this for them tomorrow and wiring in the amp .. So.. We'll see how that goes!

rob_sri
The 'sound proofing' in the rear has worked so well I'm sure rich will back me up on this! The difference is unreal and that's with only the back done and some shit speakers! Even the mrs noticed! My attempt at some brackets The new speakers the mdf rings are glued and curing in the garage at the moment Will have a go at fitting them along with my old amp and sound proofing the front at the weekend. Also if I can get someone to give me a hand I can test fit the carbon boot
Abz
Anymore information on the sound proofing dude?! I really need to reduce the noise in the cabin for the little, she seems to have got used to it but I'd like reduce it so it modernises the cabin a bit. rob_sri
what i've done doesnt really reduce noise more reduce vibrations and improve mid and bass.. its taken some of the tinny-ness from the doors much like if you put your finger on a ringing tuning fork.. and stopped some of the plastics vibrating together. if you want to reduce volume all together you'd probably have to use proper dynamat or equivalent stuff which you can get in big sheets and put it under the rear seats etc as that seems to be quite thin metal, under the carpets and inside all the panels.. would be awesome when its done. i've heard of some people using expanding foam etc too to deaden things *be very careful with this * as it can buckle panels if too much is used.. talkaudio forums are a good place to look for ideas and DIYs hope that helps Edited October 13, 2013 by rob_sri (see edit history)
