So here goes..!

The aim of this project is to restore this old gal and build an NA-T engine and aim for circa 400hp.

still, without getting ahead of myself first things first..

a bit of history from myself.. I've always seemed to have black cars.. and then spent far too much money on them.

First of the list the 1.8 Corsa SRi :

CRW_3258.jpg

IMG_0283.jpg

CRW_3231.jpg

next my S3 which was running about 280-290bhp with my first built engine, flowed head, scat rods je pistons and arp stud nut kit all it needed really was bigger turbo/injectors/fuel delivery to see some serious power:

after I got bored of that I bought myself a nice little fun car.. which turned out to be one of my favourite cars I've ever driven..! a clio 182

however thanks to someone driving the wrong way down a dual carriageway after being chased by traffic police they reduced my pride and joy to a tin can and broke my collarbone in the process!..

still.. lucky to be alive.. pics can be found here for those of you who want to see a completely ruined clio http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?678031-Stealthy-clio-is-no-more-Head-on-crash-(/page5

after this I got myself a BMW 330Ci which was okay.. nice and comfortable whilst my collarbone was in two halves, but it wasnt very.. me..

I then went and landed myself a new job where I now have a company car :D - of which I get a brand spanking new one every three months :O!

a quick picture of thefocus zetec s hiding behind the engine stand I bought for this supra project ;)

Saw this car on pistonheads advertised and thought i'd check it out as it was local..

pulled up and it was sat on a farm in a barn next to a tractor.. covered in dust and crap..

unfortunately I didnt get many photos of it before I got stuck into washing and removing what seemed to be half a tree!

but this seemed to be the theme inside and out..

and obviously as it had been sat.. the battery was screwed.. look at this lol! comparing new and old.. the old one was only kicking out 10% juice.. so I replaced that straight away!

that battery tie is also on my list of things that require paint!

wiper arms looking a bit tired!!:

and rubbed down and sprayed matt black with thick stove paint

and the number plate light lenses polished to allow the full amount of light through..

Sidelights replaced with LED versions and 8k slimline HID kit installed :) (awaiting pics)

The car is currently sat at Detail UK now awaiting a full paint/light correction and the wheels are away at the powdercoaters getting a nice dark anthricite finish.. (will eventually be going for rota grid drifts but these will look better for now)

James from Detail UK did a quick pass over one section of the paint to test it and wow.. the difference is unbelievable! I have left my camera with him so he can get some before/during shots!

New brakes front and rear/gear knob should also be in the post so will hopefully be fitting those too tomorrow:)

how it sits now after a good clean..

S2k aerial is on the cards soon and so is rear dewiper

Good job cleaning the bay dude! I would put the stock intake system back on, it has been found to be far more efficient as it draws air from the outside where it is cool. Rather than the hot air in the bay. I changed mine back to stock and it has made things better.

:yeahthat: (All of it ;))

What a transformation! Well done :) Always nice to see a Supra getting the love and attention it deserves.

And as Gaz said, the stock air system is much better thn aftermarket ones.

Cheers guys the standard system will go back on as soon as I get a new filter... The old one just like everything else was completely minging !!

New plugs fitted now, new stat and rad cap.. All that was left was to bleed the system so after setting about doing that

Some jap friends came over to play :)

Cars come along way already look forward to seeing what other changes you make.

What have you used to clean all the pipes in the engine bay?

WD40 to start off and then some turtle wax dash shine aerosol stuff.. works really well on rubbers and seals etc..!

Today I have given the calipers another lick of paint and gave the interior a really good clean down.. I also painted the underside of the spare wheel well in matt black stove paint which il get some pics of at some stage...

Here is how the dash shine works see 50/50 on the bottom seal..

image

Then used some of this on the rear leathers

A quick 50/50 again..
