StevenOd
Hey guys, purchased my car and it came with a snap off steering wheel not really my thing so I managed to get hold of a standard one and fitted it but when turning it constantly squeaks like mad! It isn't the rubber from the steering wheel rubbing against the cowling. Has anyone ever came across this problem? I've tried cleaning it up greasing it etc but nothing seems to cure it! straightsix
Have a look right at the bottom of the steering column. Is there a rubber boot where the column goes through the bulkhead? Check here. I had a Supra that creaked here and my RX300 did it when I got that. The previous keeper had smeared grease all around the column trying to cure it!
