Guest RealSupra
I'm a complete newbie, sorry if my questions are already answered. We have a UK spec, UK supplied, 1993 twin turbo, auto Supra in metallic grey. Two owners, no mods, full Toyota history, and basically in great condition, with one minor body scrape on the rear bumper. It does have rust both A posts, but that is all the rust AFAIK. 203k miles (really). The performance is down at low revs - maybe the first turbo has a problem? It is also rattles on start (not valve gear but something lower down in the bay). Aircon u/s due to rusted pipes: Toyota cost for part was ludicrous. It is taxed, MOT'd and in daily use, as it has been for 11 years with us. Time has come to move on. We would both like to see the car returned to its former glory: are there members out there looking to restore a car like this? Or should we advertise it as a goer? Or just get scrap for it? Any thoughts much appreciated.
Josh42
Ill pay your scrap for it and come and tow it away tonight? £200 sound alright? All joking aside, you could advertise it and list the faults, put up a guide price and If people believe it to be unreasonable, they will message you? Alternatively, pay your membership and message Keron on here and he can offer to buy it? Jord
There's a classifieds section on here and you might find a member which would restore it if you advertise it with all faults listed and at a fair price. Otherwise breaking for parts can be a great idea, there's always people looking for spares.
Nic
If you pay the £10 annual membership fee then you'll be able to advertise the car in the For Sale section of the forum.

Guest RealSupra
Thanks Nic. I am not trying to be a cheapskate: I am happy to pay £10 to advertise here if that is a good way to sell our car. I have idly thought about restoring it, but realise I am not enough of a mechanic for that, and really do not know whether anyone else might seriously consider it. It has been such a great car we don't want to see it die, I guess.

I spoke with the owners at length about the car on friday. They seemed nice people, not traders.
keron
That's what I mean... There's traders on here pm'ing, selling / buying cars and parts etc without trader status etc!
st3ven1
That's what I mean... There's traders on here pm'ing, selling / buying cars and parts etc without trader status etc! Exactly, and if they have it up for £4250, you can bet they paid less than half that for it. Still not the biggest rise I've seen recently, that would be a orange one at everyone's favorite dealer.
