Exhaust question for na/t

A catalytic convertor causes a significant restriction in the flow of exhaust gasses, removing the cat will enable the turbo to spool quicker and the car will be more responsive. If you're running the same max boost pressure it's not going to effect the hp as such it'll just get there quicker. No remap required.

Wouldn't removing the cat give you more power due to the reduced restriction, increasing flow.

Isn't power related to boost and flow. The same boost with more flow would give more power I always thought?

Yeah it would us the car can breath a lot better so will consume more air to generate more power at the same boost level. A way of proving this is get a t61 on 1 bar then a gt45 on 1 bar and the power output should be night and day
