bambisdad
Hi Guys My na/t produces good power but it still has its 2nd cat in. Will there be an increase in power if I take it out, and will it need re-mapping?
Nic
A catalytic convertor causes a significant restriction in the flow of exhaust gasses, removing the cat will enable the turbo to spool quicker and the car will be more responsive. If you're running the same max boost pressure it's not going to effect the hp as such it'll just get there quicker. No remap required. Noz
Wouldn't removing the cat give you more power due to the reduced restriction, increasing flow. Isn't power related to boost and flow. The same boost with more flow would give more power I always thought?

A way of proving this is get a t61 on 1 bar then a gt45 on 1 bar and the power output should be night and day
