listy
Now, obviously I have searched for the answer, but there are so many different opinions on what is safe, and what is not. I've found people saying 200c for 5 minutes, 100c for 10 minutes, 80c for 10 minutes, 70c for 10 minutes.......it goes on So, for those who have done it themselves (if you haven't done it, it won't be any help really) what temperature and length of time did you put the lights in the oven for? Doing my Abflug inserts later today/tomorrow, so really need to know

listy
So looking like 100c for 10 minutes is the average so far. Cheers for the input guys, the inserts are painted and ready, so I'm looking at doing it tonight now

Cheers dude Light one is in the oven as we speak Little nervous splitting them. Resealing them I'm fine with from doing my intake project. Well, past the point of no return now, so we'll see how it goes
listy
Well, that was short lived The Abflug inserts need yet more work to make them fit, and I have no resin left to do the fibreglass On the back burner for these then
Hammer
Ahh, always the same, just when you think you've got it cracked something throws a spanner in the works. Keep going though dude. Look forwards to seeing the end result.
Digsy
Ive done a few sets. I always start out with a low temp and a short time (100degC for 5 mins) and then try them, then increase the temp until I feel them start to give, then keep reheating until they come apart. You soon get a feel for how long to leave them in.

Look forwards to seeing the end result. They will definitely get done, but I'm going away Thursday for 10 days, and I just don't have the time for more fab work on them Ive done a few sets. tenside
I've done mine at 110 degC for 5 mins and some muscle (to pull them apart) and worked perfect:cool:
