teddan
I am looking for the spec for my hks iat sensor. does anyone know where i can find it?
Chris Bailey
What does IAT stand for? Intake air temperature?
teddan
Yep I have found this. ButI have an aftermarket ecu so I need the values. In this table is seems that i need a pull up? Sensor: Temperature: Intake Air Temperature (IAT) and Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensors - Intake Air Temperature (IAT) - Comparison An intake air temperature sensor is needed when intake temperature correction is used on vehicles that either do not have an intake temperature sensor or if the stock temp sensor has been removed. If utilising "optional" IAT sensor, software parameter intake temperature input needs to be changed to PULL-UP, from normal. Chris Wilson
You are unlikely to find it, but you could measure it if you were patient and had a decent means a raising and measuring air temp in a small chamber with a fan to move the air about. You would also need a resistance meter (cheap...). If the ecu accepts other sensors it would be far simpler to get a Bosch or Marelli one that comes with a resistance / temperature chart.
