girth45
Hi , got the car running again this evening after doing a few jobs, replaced the fuel filter and now have a leak from the in side fitting, can't get the fitting tight enough, still keeps dripping, working down the threads, removed and refitted a few times still leaking, has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it. Also replaced leaking a/c condenser had it gassed again and now have a leak where two pipes join, I guess there is a o ring seal, so I need some part numbers, can anyone help. Thanks. Mk4Gaz
Yep, fuel filter banjo should have a copper crush washer either side of it

I had the same issue with my SC300 and it sucked. I found that I over torqued the crush washer and had to get a new one. Once I did that all was well. Someone on SF told me hand tight, but I just went with what was in the manual for tightening. It seemed a little tighter than hand tight. mull1986
I also had this problem with my fuel filter, I used ptfe tape on the thread and not had any problems since and that was 6 months ago
Konrad
Copper washers are enough
girth45
The banjo fitting with the copper washers is ok, its the pipe fitting thats the issue.
Konrad
You mean screwing up fuel bolt? You have special cuts at fuel filter side (i think it is for 21 or 22mm spanner) to hold filter properly when you tightening bolt.
girth45
Its 19mm even tight it leaks, will have another look this evening, I have a few ideas if it works will post pics later.

Slutters
Don't do that... Do you mean the convex end fitting on the end of the pipe, make sure you have a concave fitting in the filter...
girth45
yes thats correct, only way to stop the leak was to use ptfe tape on threads, not happy with this repair but it has stopped leaking, maybe a new fuel line needed.
EVLMKIV
Be sure to check for fuel smell after you get home from a cruse. Mine leaked after boost due to increased pressure. I also changed my fuel filter which I think may have been clogged with something. After that and the new crush washer my fuel leak went away.yes thats correct, only way to stop the leak was to use ptfe tape on threads, not happy with this repair but it has stopped leaking, maybe a new fuel line needed.
