You can't have 1 hybrid and one stock...does that make your choice easier!??

What you could do is just buy a replacement turbo.

IanC on this BBS had two j-specs in perfect working order..think he's still got 'em. Try PM'ing him...

I have been told that should this not be minor vacume concern that a refirb will do the job at £500. I imagined that the £800 was for two hybreds? To cheap?

Guess buying a complete second hand turbo is costly from the guy you mentioned and poss prone to the ceramic concerns we all have and the worrying lifespan of all second hand stuff etc.

Good advise though.

Cheers

Chris

Hybrid prices are around 400->600 (Typically 500) PER turbo.

To get one done you may as well get the other so hence £1000.

(This is also based on an EXCHANGE basis. i.e. you give your old one up)

BUT remember you need someone to exchange the turbos as well and the labour costs would be another £500

So for a full twin hybrid swap you're looking at £1500

(Having said that I did mine as I was just bored with my stock ones!)

Regards

Pete

The second turbo went on mine and Turbo Technics did me a pair of hybrids for around £1500. You can get hold of them on 01604 705050. Ask for Giles he knows his stuff and has done a few Supras now, the increase in performance is really good in my opinion.
