Central locking as standard?

Hello all,

 

I've done some extensive searching on the subject, but seem to get conflicting views.

 

I have a 94 TT Auto GZ. Was remote central locking a standard fit item? I've checked under the drivers seat and there is no control box, but there are a couple of trailing cables that have been taped up. Is it likely there was remote CL and the control box has just been removed?

 

If so, is it a case of just getting hold of a control box / keys and fitting / programming? If so, anyone know where I could get the bits and how to fit?

I've bought a SQUALE remote central locking system, normally as you already have central locking via the key, you would only need the remotes + receiver (that you can maybe install using your taped up cables).

Can you tell me the color of the cables ?

I'll install mine during the next weeks, I'll make pictures and post a tutorial anyway.
