scott87
Looking for some help from someone please. Had my car flattened back and machine polished by a body shop on a couple of panels that needed it. However in some light at a certain angle I can see like curved lines, not scratches and they seem to be 'in' the paint? Will the polish have caused this or will it be something that has just been highlighted?
Graham1984
Ahhhh the famous swirls.... my car is riddled with them in certain light.
scott87
Ahhhh the famous swirls.... my car is riddled with them in certain light. Likely to be damage caused by the body shop?
Graham1984
Does it look like this??
Rich.2211
Either swirl marks or holographic lines both probably caused by machine polishing. I'm sure one of the detailers will give you some info on how to proceed with getting rid of them
Graham1984
Stonkin or Peter Richards are the guys to ask.
scott87
Yer they are more like curved lines rather than swirls. Only visible in direct sun light and from a certain angle. Will it be a respray or can they work them out?
Rich.2211
Should be sortable by any half decent detailer. You could probably purchase a Dual Action Polisher and have a go yourself:)
paulj1
sounds like duel action sanding marks from the bodyshop mate. If its been flatted and machined then it won't be swirls yet because its new paint^
