Andrew K
Now I've got all the parts I'm going to be swapping the drive shafts and diff from my N/A and replacing them with a large case TT diff and driveshafts to go with it. Now my N/A doesn't have ABS which and the TT drive shafts I'm going to be fitting do and think that's what that stepped section is in the pictures below? https://jza80.mkivsupra.net/imports/2013/07/284.jpg[/img]"] https://jza80.mkivsupra.net/imports/2013/07/285.jpg[/img]"] Will these TT drive shafts fit into my rear hubs on my N/A ok or will the stepped section cause me problems as I don't have the ABS section / part on my hubs? Will I need to change my hubs as well if wanting to use the TT drive shafts?

Andrew K
Can anybody help? What with all these builds and modifications being done all the time surely someone must know.
straightsix
Yes - the stepped ring is to do with the ABS system. I don't see why you would have to change the hubs too as the only difference on the hub would be the ABS sensor. I'm sure I've read on here that ABS driveshafts have been used on non-ABS cars. David P
I've never tried to fit an ABS shaft into non ABS hub, try it and see! If the castellated ring is in the way, remove it.

Yeah thought I'd read about it somewhere but can't flipping find it now. I've never tried to fit an ABS shaft into non ABS hub, try it and see! If the castellated ring is in the way, remove it. Looks like that's the only way I'm going to find out, if I have to remove the castellated ring (if its possible) bet its a right pain of a job to do! A good clout with a hammer and sharp chisel would soon have that off if you need.
