T2 MSW
In my fuel system setup I am planning on having twin in tank pumps, each pump feeding either end of the rail. The second pump kick in controlled via the Syvecs. As I have a route back to one of the pumps which may not be on all the time do I need check valves (one way valves) on my -8AN feeds into the rail? And should these be after the fuel filters? Does anyone have a basic wiring diagram for the split fuel pump setup and control via the Syvecs? Wez
Wouldnt it be better to have both pumps T`ed into a single feed that split at the rail end if you really feel that is needed
T2 MSW
Did not seem much point in doing that. If you have twin pumps then surely its better to have twin feeds to either end of the rail?
ashbuster
ive been advised duel feed rail too so ill be going down the same route but i thought they were wired up to work together at the same time , all the time. so interested to see how it should be done will you be going twin feed all the way from the cradle to the front of the car with twin filters. or are you putting a single line all the way to the front and splitting it after the filter? T2 MSW
AFAIK one pump runs all the time and the other is controlled from the ECU when its needed. I was going to run 2 x linsfrom the pump into 2 x fuel filters and then each filter in the ends of the rail. Just need to know if I need check valves in there - im thinking I do
Lee P
As Wez says feed both pumps in to one -10 line running down the car Use a -10 filter and y peice it out of the filter to either side of the rail If you don't want to do this and you want to run two lines and two filters (not advised) you will need a one way valve in the end of the fuel rail. V8KILR
I have twin Walbro WSP330 pumps with twin factory lines to each end of the fuel rail and my Link G4 ecu turns on the second pump at 15 psi. Probably simpler to do a Y fitting for both pumps at the hanger end and another Y fitting to split the feed each end of the rail as well. Most modern fuel pumps have a one-way valve built in (mine do), so it depends what fuel pumps you are getting. Bosch 044 might not, but they sell a one-way fitting that screws on the end.
