monkey76364
Ok in sure this has been covered many times yet with the searches I have made I haven't come up with the answer, it's all in the wording Before I even consider going down the na-t road what should I look at on the car engine wise to make sure that its all ok and won't just be a big waste of time and blow up. Would compression tests ect be recommended? It's a Jspec auto if that helps.
Suprakeith
To be honest IMO you should know your engine better than anyone, if she pulls well and runs smooth then iam sure she will take the NA-T conversion fine, most important thing i think is making sure car handle power increase 1st..ie upgrading the brakes and making sure the handles well as no point having power if cant use it, i have been thinking of the NA-T route for ages but decided to make sure sure car solid 1st so i have replaced all rear arms at back of car as few of them were on way out, upgraded rear brakes plus have UK spec brakes sat in box waiting for me to get wheel spacers. Also am upgrading the cooling system and thinking about clutch as mine is manual. Its only my opinion but i do think make car solid to handle and use the power as worst thing can do is spend that money doing NA-T and give her skin full and not be able to stop or the back steps out and wipes out car. Thats only my opinion and my thinking mate
Al Massey
As said, make sure you have a great stable platform first to work on. Any servicing needed, in good working order and no nigly bits. Once you are happy then consider what to get, your goals and what you want to achieve from it all. No point throwing thousands at a car if you don't know if it can take it or even handle it
monkey76364
Thanks guys. The car it's self is all good, would always look at the breaks as I agree no pint having power if you can't stop it
