Brothy
I currently have a toad imobiliser installed on the car, its basically a fob i have on my keys which i have to touch on a receiver on the dash. I need to remove the dash pannel that the receiver is fixed to. I cant remove the pannel without cutting the wires from the receiver. If i cut the the wires will i be facing consequences that the car will not start once the wires are re-connected ?
Iky
Is it a cobra alarm?
listy
Is it a cobra alarm? 5th word in OP.....toad Could you not bridge the wires before cutting? Then it would keep it as a full circuit.
Iky
Sorry, missed that bit Should be fine after you reconnect it. It's just a socket. If it's what i'm thinking of, I have a similar Cobra one. With things called "Touchkeys" They only de-activate the immobiliser if i don't start the car within say 1 minute of unlocking the doors using the fob, although the touch keys are not needed to start the car- I just press the button on my fob that i used to unlock the doors and it does does the same job. - realised this after about a month
