Exhaust bung's stuck >(

Yo, so I've came to terms with my supra's exhaust note, and fancy it being a little louder....

The problem I have is, it's currently got a bung in it which was pretty much rammed in by the previous owner as a rush job for it's MOT. So no bolt holding it in, just wedged, tight, tight like a nun's....y'know.

Anyone got any tips/know how on how to get these things out without damaging my backbox?

I've already tried the old hook method, but the end of the bung hole is closed so that failed. I've tried revving it once it's heated up, still won't budge....If I can save the bung to be re-used properly(with a nut/bolt) then that would be wicked, but if there's means to write it off then I'm not too fussed.

Cheers guys.

I had a similar issue, try getting a spanner in there then open it up so it is wedged against the bung & pull hard!! Maybe put some Vaseline in there to lube it a little? Not sure if you could use WD40 near a hot exhaust!! Though something to create a slip, then keep tugging... Hard!

Good luck!!

Already tried the wd40, fortunately there were no flames! I'll give the spanner a shot tomorrow, failing that I think may have a bearing race puller at work that may well do the trick. Cheers Abz
