JayJay1374
Basically looking to change the clutch and fly wheel. I bought the car from a dealer. Got it home and the clutch went. So hoping to get him to sort it or me buy the clutch him the fly wheel. And him fit it. The cars back there now getting the box removed on Monday to investigate. Found this fly wheel http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=151002598709&index=5&nav=WATCHING&nid=50920974551 Thoughts? But can't seem to find a decent clutch which isn't too pricey (£400ish) All parts are for a 6 speed manual TT cheers JJ

Justin Bieber
Why not OEM Toyota?
JayJay1374
I thought oem was dual mass? The cars got a BPU so it would be silly not to upgrade the clutch atleast.

Went to lift the clutch. Nothing at all. Managed to nurse it a couple miles downhill to brass side prison so this could happen
safcdixon
Such a shitter mate, did it drive ok on the way home?
JayJay1374
Yeah mate. Drove perfect on and off boost. Then about a mile from home you could change down let the clutch out then 5 seconds later it would bite. Then turned it off. Back on and no clutch. Abz
I changed my clutch & flywheel a couple of weeks ago, went stock for both items. BPU is fine for a stock clutch, if you are looking to go single turbo then ideally you'd need to consider an updated clutch. With regards to the flywheel, the stock one is a dual mass flywheel so ideally you want a dual mass rather than a solid one. JayJay1374
UPDATE: the garage have took the box off to find this: A triple plate clutch and single mass flywheel. They say they are gonna clean the clutch and replace the release bearing and rebleed the pedal and hopefully that should sort it. The clutch and flywheel are in really good condition. Any theory's of why when lifting the pedal I didn't have any drive? Although the pedal did feel really light?
safcdixon
The fluid was maybe goosed mate, dampness within the system like when your brakes feel crap after the cars been laid up for a long while its the same type of system
JayJay1374
might be mate, ive just researched the car mot history through the dvla, it was first used in the uk in 2010, and mot'd with 40,503 miles recorded, the year after it had 41,234, after then being off the road for 2 years it was mot'd last week at 41,298 so its done very little miles in the uk! and its bearly moved in years. hopefully the garage will sort it
