berg
This will probably sound dumb but im not with the car and cannot check myself Can someone tell me why the crankshaft pulley needs to be removed to do the cambelt on an N/A? Is it because there is a cambelt cover behind the pulley? Was going to attempt it sunday as im doing a TT headgasket on my NA-T build but looks like ill need a puller to get the pulley off
Rich.2211
You can't remove the lower engine cover with the crank pulley still attached to the end of the crank. You can't remove the old cam belt or fit the new one with the lower engine cover still in place. Unfortunately it will definitely need to come off mate.
