coza
Hi, Just wondering if I was to sell / swap my 5 speed box how much for the 6 speed box and all the other bits I will need ? Cheers
Dan_Turism0
budget for around £2.5k
Nic
Your current 5spd box is not worth a lot and 6spd gearboxes seem to be getting difficult to find. I'd be tempted to look around for a late model 6spd NA Supra (May 96 onwards), swap the gearboxes over and then sell the NA on. coza
What other parts do you need as well as the gear box ? So new clutch ?, fly wheel ? Etc ...
thetrashcanman
What other parts do you need as well as the gear box ? So new clutch ?, fly wheel ? Etc ... That would be it I believe if you manual, oh also prop and possible diff if you want to, as the N/A diff will mean your changing gear every 10 seconds. Id budget probably 2.5k as well, and I think the 5 speed box on its own is worth maybe £
abtin90
As ypur already 5 speed there is no cutting of tunnel needed and master cylinder and pedals already there. You just need to swap out the box along, clutch, flywheel prop and diff. You'll prob need as mentioned around £2-2.5k plus whatever's needed for a suitable clutch. You'll prob get around £300-400 for the w58 you have now

Abz
I'd say you'd be looking at closer to £4k if you include a new clutch, 6 speed box & DMF. Ideally you'll want to make sure the gearbox seals are all good & fresh fluid whilst you are there too. Then you got the cost of labour... Unless you do it yourself.
