Marc_Beadell
Picked up my new supra on friday from JIC who have been great ( kept the car for me while i was selling mine and generally put up with me! ) Its a '93 TT in black. Standard apart from a nice set of BBS split rims Already been given a Blitz boost controller and HKS turbo timer by a mate who had them sitting in his workshop. Is the turbo timer easy to fit? dont think im going to bother with the boost controller as insurance is enough already without putting it up further. Another question is the stereo. Its got a single din tape player in at the mo. I just want a single cd in there as i have an in dash DVD with seperate screen which im looking at putting in the glove box but want some normal tunes to. Is this an easy thing to fit? do i need any special tools etc as it already has a tray under the tape player. Havent stopped smiling yet though! cant wait for the weather to dry up so i can enjoy it more! Marc PS who do i pay to become a member? Andrew
I remember the feeling when I drove mine back from Blackburn to London..........great trip that As for the Turbo timer I'm thinking of fitting one, apparently it's easy I have a thread going on that subject at the moment. Well you got the Sup at the right time, summers nearly here
Marc_Beadell
Cheers. Have found some details on the mkiv US site about the turbo timer. Just need to make sure ive got all the bits. To be honest im thinking 'take it to a professional' as it would probably cost more to fix if i mess up than it would to fit
Andrew
Yes I'm tempted too Marc for that reason I've been quoted £210 all in.
George L
Stick the boost controller on and think about telling them later! Whats the highest you can run the standard turbos at? And what sort of power increase do get?
Gaz Walker
Decide not to go for the NA then Marc? Gaz.
Marc_Beadell
Yeah, found this one and when i got a quote for insurance it was less than the NA?!? love the TT though and to be honest i think if i had got the NA i would have kicked myself for not spending the extra MPG's are fun with an 80 mile commute each day but hey, i enjoy the drive so thats the main thing! Got all my stereo fitted now too so its starting to get there, need to start on the styling when the bank account looks a bit heathier
