anyone use solid diff bushes?

Not those ones but I have a set of Whifbitz solid diff mounts, which I imagine are very similar.

 

To answer your question, yes they are a touch noisier than normal ones but nothing too obnoxious. There's a noticeably more mechanical, clunky feel to the drivetrain too.

Asif the V160 tractor box could have anymore of a clunky mechanical feel Dave, love it :D

I had 2 rear mounts made up from 20mm solid round bar and drilled the holes to suit the old bush's I cut out, I must admit the noise was a lot worst then I imagined (whiney) but really did improve the handling side of things, mostly because you can here what the diff is doing before the tyres let go, whiney noise changes so you can react before the car actually lets go.

Mine are welded in units but I beleave the ebay units are just bolt in.

Definitely worth a try for the price.
