Camber bolt torque

Hi

Just wondering what people are tightening the rear camber bolts to. Book figure is 184nm but I've just had a brand new bolt roll its thread.

I'm going off the us manual. Does the uk and jap car have different size/grade bolt?

That's 2 now bloody thing. One old one new

Cheers

I went to 184 NM on mine a couple of weeks ago.

I rolled the thread on an old bolt but the replacement was OK. It is a massive Torque, the garage that did the Geo were gobsmacked when I told them the torques

Same here, but nothing compared to 226nm for the front lowers.

That's bigger bolt on the front m16 I think not m14.

Ye I bought all brand new bits from Toyota. Bolt with camber washer other camber washer new nut and washer. That one went after i rolled the other side. Torque wrench has just been re calibrated as well. Maybe it's the copper slip and I should be using oil.

With you on that one. I did my rebuild up on stands which made getting under to finish the torques off interesting:muahaha:, Much easier on a car ramp:D
