No fuel cut

Hi All

I started a post a few days back saying I had problems with 1st turbo feeling a bit lifeless and hesitation on turbo change over after bpu. Well after changing all hoses + vacuum lines and having my mechanic check everything I still had the problem but after taking out the fcd everything runs perfect again? also a strange thing is I've increased the boost to 1.2 without the fcd and i'm not getting fuel cut? I've run it with 3 gauges in to eliminate a dodgy gauge but all read 1.2 , I thought factory setting was at 1 bar?

( just a side question - can I run both turbos at 1.2 safely ) thanks for any advice

Stock fuel cut is 1bar+, either you don't have a stock ECU (any stickers on it?) or perhaps there's another FCD already wired in?

If everything is in good working order and you've done the recommended BPU upgrades then you can safely run 1.2bar although it will ultimately reduce the life of the turbos.

Thanks for the reply Nic

The ecu is stock and was untouched when we put the fcd in. My mechanic also suggested the ecu might have been mapped at some point? anyway she's pulling nicely at the moment, a real improvement over stock. I might just keep the boost at 1 - 1.1 bar as for me that's plenty of go on the streets.

Now I might aswell sell the fcd :)
