ballsdeep
I'm coming to the end of my na-t build but have a small issue with the rpm slightly dropping before and after I rev it, is this something that will be resolved when I have it mapped, or more likely to be a vacuum leak somewhere? click the image and it should take you to a short video Edited June 25, 2013 by ballsdeep (see edit history)

Fly
Your only running a base map so I would assume that's the problem try increasing the idle slightly and try again
ballsdeep
What's yours idling at fly?
Fly
At the minute about 1200 as its loose. It might just be the idle control catching your idle after revving. When you off for mapping again?
ballsdeep
im dropping it off with them on the 5th after work and leaving it with them, its booked in on the 8th july so fingers crossed it will be complete on the 9th-10th? if I have any problems like you are im screwed! If I hit any where near that I'm seriously going to need a new clutch and tyres!!!! In regards to adjusting the idle can it be done through the EMU software
Noz
not entirely true noz your's wouldnt be considered as running nick! - - - Updated - - - Just got a semi.. If I hit any where near that I'm seriously going to need a new clutch and tyres!!!! In regards to adjusting the idle can it be done through the EMU software Idle rpm can be adjusted yes. But there shouldnt be a need to adjust it. That solution may hide the cause. If you are on stock clutch you probably won't even make it home from the mappers... marc_p
Doesn't really look like an issue to me, that's bugger all, you want to try driving my old Porsche, blip the throttle it's about 2RPM away from stalling when the revs drop:D It'll be smoothed out on mapping in my opinion, worst case scenario is there is some sticking in the ICV which is just catching it a little later when the revs drops and causing an iffy transition when going for the throttle. I wouldn't be worried personally, what's the idle like at cold vs warm?
