Carbon_Bullet
This is the rear subframe top arm, basically I carnt get the bolt out an don't fancy whacking the crap out of it, I think it has a rivet in it but man... It's proper stuck in there! Any ideas? or is just a hitting game?
LOGIE
hitting game, and crow bar at the same time is my guess
trebor69
Hitting the housing should make it crack free ........I personally jack some timber up under the thread to apply pressure and then whack it There is no rivet ......its just pushed in . Dnk
One of these is what i'd use then you don't risk damaging the arm or hub

hodge
Hit the side of the housing the threaded bolt goes into and put a little upward pressure on the arm. It will pop straight out.

Rich.2211
You can pick up a ball joint splitter like posted above from your local Halfords if needs be
Chris Bailey
We have this in work all the time! 3 things you can do! 1. Heat the crap out of it and hit the side of the housing with a hammer 2. Beat the crap out of it all together 3. Try using a big lever bar against the driveshaft and pull it!
Josh42
This is the same issue I had here: I cut the end that goes into the subframe out, then had to use a ballpoint splitter, a calculated 5T of force and a 4lb lump hammer to get the ball joint free of the hub. Was a cow of a job and I'd hate to have to do it again!
Benjy
Use one of these, and if you damage the ball joint dust cover, they're like £0.69p to replace!! DON'T heat it up. You can blow the ball joint out of it's socket and it will chuck boiling grease in your face!

Dnk
Use the tool i posted the pic of and if it doesnt pop out whilst the tool has pressure on it hold a hammer onto the side of the hub where the ball joint thread goes through and hit it with another hammer and it should pop out.
