jon_dragon
Hi guys. I've been struggling with this issue for a few months on my n/a aerotop that I had converted to 5 speed manual. When the engine is warm and under variable amounts of load then it seems to impose its own rev limiter further down the range the more load there is. I'm getting flash codes 12 and 24. I've replaced the spark plugs at the same time as the rocker cover gasgets. After that I changed all the vacuum hoses and the valve in the inlet manifold that feeds the map sensor (could be the sensor) Also changed the entire distributor (£250 from Toyota) I'm now begrudged to spend anymore money on it because I've been offered a celica for £300 Please can anyone help? I love my supra and I'd hate to get rid of it because of this stupid problem :-(
Swampy442
It has to do with the way the park/neutral start switch was bypassed I believe. In the TT you get a limit of4500rpm
jon_dragon
Thanks. Just done some research on this and some people have swapped to a manual ecu to overcome the problem. Thing is, mine doesn't rev to the same every time. It's lowers when it's under more load.
