r2ck_p
Hi guys, I noticed this thing in my engine bay down by the exhaust manifold, it doesn't seem to have a purpuse. Any ideas what it is? Cheers
creative
Looks like an earth. Where does it lead to? Edited June 21, 2013 by creative (see edit history)
SPG
Could be a bracket to show if the chassis is still straight, after a crash if the chassis is twisted then this bracket is usually distorted in shape. But I'm not 100% on this

r2ck_p
Yes the banana shaped bracket with three bolts.
TheTurtleshead
It very much does something! Those bolt heads belong to two large bolts, that in conjunction with some equally large nuts(lol), hold on the front sub frame!

ashbuster
when you tighten the subframe from underneath its best to get someone to watch these because they turn (bolts)
r2ck_p
Cheers pal, I knew someone would know. Well that solves that then I am not going to remove it to refurbish, don't my subframe coming apart. It very much does something!
