suprasurrey
My 1994 TT auto has been playing up a bit today, engine warning light on and not firing on all cylinders. I`ve just checked for error codes and it is showing code 14, which is to do with the ignition system. I have replaced the coil pack clips this year and all connections to the igniter pack appear to be good. Has anyone experienced a similar problem, if so any pointers would be most welcome:) Edited June 20, 2013 by suprasurrey (see edit history)
Swampy442
All thats left os the coils dude. Or the coil pack wiring loom where it comes out and heads towards the intake manifold.
suprasurrey
Thanks Swampy. I`ve checked the coil resistance and all are fine. I`m getting a fair bit of smoke when the warning light comes on now. I can only seem to manage 0.8 bar boost, although I am full BPU and used to see a healthy 1.2 bar before this problem. Any clues people?

suprasurrey
I thought I should give an update on this problem for future reference. Although the coil pack wiring had no visible damage I decided to replace as much of it as possible, just to rule this out as a cause. I also removed all of the coil packs, cleaned them up and bent the contacts upwards a little. I now have full boost, no error code and no smoke:yahoo:
