fuldhat
Hi all. Have a issue with Supra, when I accelerate, then at around 110 mph a "oscillating/pulsing" noise and shaking begins, that gets worse the higher the speed.(but settles at 140 ish) It is not very loud, but you can hear it. The shaking is not very much. If I press down the clutch, at fx 140 and let the engine rews drop to idle, then the noise and shaking gets weaker, but since the car also slows down, then I dont think it is related. I dont know what is the reason, but could it be something on the car that is affected by the wind speed, or related to the drive train...? Thanks
Abz
Dual Mass Flywheel perhaps?!
fuldhat
Changed less than 5000 km ago... So hope not. And then it would be at lower speeds also. So it must something after the gearbox. reeceu
Could simply be a small wheel balance issue. Get the weights checked
fuldhat
But Wheel balance is normally steady shaking.. this is more pulsing

fuldhat
Hmm could be Wheel bearing, but just got the car through swedish MOT, and they jerk and pull all the Wheels in every direction to check for those Things, and there was no errors, and I am sure it would show at lower speeds also. LOGIE
hub flange? Im guessing as recently there was a little play and grinding with one of my rear wheels, it turned out to be wheel bearing but I was told to check the hub flange also. fuldhat
I need to go out and test it again to see if I can locate the source more precisely. Will return with results.
