viper
I'm currently running an Autobox with a 3600 hi stall. Every run I make up the strip the box changes up late after bouncing off the limiter several times costing me valuable time up the strip. Could anyone ahead some light on why this is happening? Thanks Dave

David P
If that doesn't fix it try raising the rev limit a little, if you haven't already.
viper
The box was removed and the seals replaced a few weeks ago along with the Toyota recommended fluid. How so you raise the rev limit? Thanks for the help
mellonman
Every time I have heard this it was always fluid

Thanks for the help When the seals were replaced was the filter renewed? What ECU are you running? What diff wheel/tyre combo are you running? if the ECU isn't getting correct speed sensor info it can't do the correct things. viper
I'm sorry I'm very new to autobox's I changed from manual to auto for drag purposes of the hi stall so I don't know much about them. I don't think any filters where changed on the box when te seals where done. Is it a box off job to replace the filter? Running a MAP 1 piggy back ecu. Standard TT diff, was running MT streets 27x10x15 - - - Updated - - - I should also mention manual mode doesn't work
LOGIE
you just need to take the sump/oil pan off to change the filter.
LOGIE
id address the issue with Manu mode before anything else.

David P
First thing to do is to find out if a new filter was fitted and if not, fit one.

David P
Find out first. Mr T hief charges about £75 for one of these, they can be had from the U.S. for less but you'll have to wait and be stung by Robbin Tax Hoods.

David P
After the solenoids everything works by fluid pressure, clagged filter = lower pressure = dicky doings.

David P
(Copied and pasted from another thread to "complete the picture" and for anyone else who trips over this thread in the future.) Birds eye view of a belly up T.T. auto box with pan removed, then just 3 bolts on the filter. More pics in the link, yet this one shows enough for a filter change, but you'd have known that already if you'd read my build thread. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?233707-Project-Supracharger&p=3080115&viewfull=1#post3080115

JasonR24
Sorry for the off topic but did you change the engine and dash wiring harness when you went from a manual to auto? As my engine harness is from a manual but everything else is auto?
