scott87
If you use big red be careful as i have seen a seal kit with horrible retainer rings in it which i personally wouldn't use. Didnt know that. MR2 ones i had were good quality. I shall look out for this when i refurb my callipers this winter!
trebor69
I tried ....in vain .......to get the o/s front disc off using the bolts in the holes but they ended up stripping the thread from the disc .......so I just lubed all the caliper parts up and fitted pads ........I will get it off eventually but prob not without heat Hope you have better luck
Dnk
Didnt know that. MR2 ones i had were good quality. I shall look out for this when i refurb my callipers this winter! Someone on here bought their kit and the retainer rings looked awful, i think they said they would replace them though. Being rather anal when it comes to parts like this i prefer to use O/E and know what i've got is 100 % as it should be.

Big Mark
All parts brought except brake bleeder and fluid. Can anyone recommend either? Unfortunately I've had a couple of large unexpected bills in the last couple of days so have to watch the pennies, plus the car is never going on a track, so I know some will recommend RBF 600 but at £25 per litre I'm thinking either http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_204323_langId_-1_categoryId_255218 Or http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-69377-gulf-racing-brake-fluid-dot-51.aspx
berg
The gunson eezibleed kit you posted the link to is a good bit of kit Used mine to do a full fluid change on my own in 15 mins and that was doing all 4 corners, they are well worth the money *just have someone on stand by to watch the bottle doesnt go empty otherwise its back to square one ;-)

Dnk
Ask Ian C which vacuum bleeder he bought not too long ago, the best and easiest way to bleed the brakes

Ian C
It's the absolute business. One trick you will need, though, is once you've got the hose on and vacuum built up and everything ready, slather a load of grease around the bleed nipple before cracking it open. Cover the hose end and the threads, then when you open it you don't suck in air from those two places and make it look like there is still air in the brake system. Caesard
Also the Gulf brake fluid 5.1 is brilliant too. I have it on mine with braided lines and full Chris Wilson pads, and it is working brilliantly.
Big Mark
Thanks for the review, I've just ordered 2 litres from Opieoils, but the website wouldn't accept the discount codes I have.
Big Mark
All done, thanks for the tips people. Pins were a bit of an issue but as I was painting the calipers it was easier to take off the whole caliper and drive the pins out on a flat service. The only big issue was removing the old rear hoses as they really didn't want to seperate from the solid lines. A huge thank you to Girth45 who popped by and saved the day. I owe you one!
