Rich.2211
I'm going to be dismantling my 2JZGE head tomorrow (head is already off the block) and I'm in need of a valve spring compressor. I was wondering if anyone could recommend one? Reason I ask is I've read on Supraforums that not any old valve spring compressor is suitable Any help would be appreciated

Dan_Q
not sure if i'm too late here Rich not been on much recently, and cant answer 100% because i've never stripped a 2JZ- but- the design of the head seems similar to toyota 3S series engines, and for those i used to use this compressor: http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cht459-hd-valve-spring-compressor?da=1&TC=SRC-valve+spring+compressor worked dandy on the 3S. if you did get one that works for the 2JZ for sure then let us know fella

I think the one in your link would of worked fine but I opted for one Halfords sell at £49.99 (£39.99 trade) as I was in a rush. The Halfords one is actually very good and looks similar in design to the Clarke one you've posted
