Code 41

Hi all I'm getting a error code 41, had it last year when I bought the car I reset the ecu (diss batt) and the code cleared. Then last month the gears were jumping into gear harshly(turned the car off then back on and the harsh gear changes disappeared) when I got home from work I cleaned the TPS connector(wd40) and gave it a good clean and reset the ECU. Two weeks later it has came back. Do I just need to replace the TPS is there any re-calibration needed if renewed? Is it fixable the one I have ? Or is there anything else causing this every time a read the fault code it is 41 nothing else.

Cheers shaz

It does go away if I turn the car off then turn it back on again 10-30 secs later .

I thought speed sensor was 42. 41 is Thottle position sensor, but I could be wrong.

I've got a spare TPS if you want to borrow it and try it bud.

I hodge it is 41 is the TPS as the (code manual) says like. That would be sound mate are they just straight swap or do they need recalibrating or anything like that ?
