Josh42
Just drop the car in 4th gear and using a very long bar and a hefty ratchet/torque wrench, crack it.
st3ven1
Have you tried locking a breaker bar against the chassis leg and cranking the engine over to crack the nut?(obviously don't start the engine) Alternatively there is an inspection hole in the auto box which faces towards the front of the car underneath, there is a black rubber grommet (about 4" x 6") which can be removed which would then allow you to lock the crank using a breaker bar or similar. This is how I done it on my TT auto.
scotty_1987
Should of said it was auto lol. I have tried cracking it off by turning the engine over but no luck. I didnt realise there was an inspection hole. Ill go have a look and see how i get on. Thanks

reeceu
i have just got over a similar issue, best way is to lock the engine up as i used a charged battery my starter wouldnt budge it! if this all fails i got a friend to lock the flywheel through the starter motor hole and then got on a big breaker bar with a 4 foot jack handle and that cracked it! good luck
