Emanage and RPM Signal?

Recommended Posts

i have had my ecu for a few years now i decided today to download windows xp and plug the laptop in to it.

I had it on live datalog and realised that it doesn't show my RPM when i accelerate it shows which box is active right now and it only goes down the left side with pressure but doesn't pick up RPM. I aint an expert but surely the map aint really active now is it? with no RPM signal?

I have attached pictures. When in live datalog it shows you what box your currently in (Red) it only goes down the first column also in full throttle it shows 0.2% injector duty cycle i aint a mapper but surely something doesn't look right. I can't see how this would work without a RPM signal

The duty cycle is a percentage of available time, which is based on revs. It'll read artificially low as it thinks it's basically got infinite time to inject fuel at 0rpm. You need to check the wiring at the ECU, if it's not getting an RPM signal it'll only ever use the left hand column of the map, which is badness.

And theirs me thinking the car is running on emanage ultimate! for the last 2 years when only 1 colum works! i am curious how come it aint running lean when i am on boost? (Low boost) 0.7 bar 10.5 AFR

Well, it might have only just stopped seeing the revs. Your injector map is doing bugger all anyway from what I can see of it. Got a screenshot of that and the airflow adjustment map I can look at?

Edit - and the ignition timing map, why not.

i fixed the rpm and guess what it was running very lean! on boost so i added some fuel back in their.

Can someone look at my ignition map and see if its ok? i am running a single turbo by the way. the map was originally mapped the tt bpu

This is the emanage ultimate log of ignition timing

Ignition timing: Yellow

Boost: Blue

Throttle position: green

RPM: Red

Also the timing retard under 2,000 rpm won't make a difference as it will never hit them boxes (0.4+ bar)
