Guest Rab88
Can anyone confirm if the jap TT auto's alternator is common on any other toyotas? Wondering if I'll need to buy new in order to get a hold of one as can't find many used ones about. Thanks.
Lee P
It is on some but the plug position and amperage can be different they can fit though Lexus LS400, Lexus GS300 will fit fine
LOGIE
bearing in mind if you get one from another supra it'll be a 90amp manual or 100amp if its an auto.
Stevo
bearing in mind if you get one from another supra it'll be a 90amp manual or 100amp if its an auto. Is this definitely the case? The Toyota Parts numbers for the Manual and Auto alternators are exactly the same (27060-46190) and the EPC even lists both as being "12v, 90A" Just wondering as I've just purchased a used alternator for my car. I checked Toyo there and they are different; Auto TT: 27060-46120 12V 100A Manual TT: 27060-46200 12V 90A Auto NA: 27060-46050 12V 90A What engines from those mentioned above fit it; LS400 4l 95-00, GS300 4l (and 3l TT Aristo) and Soarer 4l? Stevo
Well I've just had a quick look on Toyo too and the only NA model that uses the part number of '27060-46050' is the 6 speed manual on the SZ-R. Bit of a moot point though as all of the NA alternators are 90A, so I'm fine anyway. Would appear that the difference in ampage is just on the TT. LOGIE
You wont have any hassle with 90amps unless your running about with a LOT of ICE. Maybe the 100amp came along with the facelifts?
