Refitting rear crank seal (sealant)

Sorry it wont let me upload the pdf here for some reason.

 

All you need to do is apply a little MP grease to the seal lip from what i can see

yep seems your spot on Dunk. MP means multi purpose? right?

I have no idea what MP grease is other than as you say multi purpose, its purely

for fitting purposes so you don't damage the seal when you fit it onto the crank.

I think you`re talking about the seal housing where it meets the sump, you will need some rtv silicone sealant, its normally black and is oil/fuel resistant, loctite do some decent stuff for this.

Edit, the stuff you linked to should do it fine.

Yes you have to use sealant on the seal housing.

 

Not the actual seal itself but the part that bolts to the block. Same sealant as used for the sump ect..

 

You can use the Toyota stuff or a good RTV sealant
