adnanshah247
My friend put bpu vs single in a very good way:- As a passenger:- bpu - makes you smile and make a lil bit of wee come out. single:- scares the living crap out of you and makes a lot more than just wee come out. moral of the story, go single and never look back! mellonman
right just to some this up daily driver = BPU weekend toy = Single singles are great fun and good on the road but as a daily driver i would lean to bpu, luckly i have a 525bhp weekend toy
Nic
right just to some this up daily driver = BPU weekend toy = Single Don't agree, you can use a single Supra as a daily driver just the same as a BPU Supra, they'll both trundle along in traffic and the single Supra should actually give better mpg's when just commuting. James
I'll report on my findings come July as I'm getting rid of my (very very nearly) BPU for a T88 single. My current car is my daily and I was intending on the new Supra taking on that role.
TBDevelopments
yeah i've seen it before while i was looking about what boost pressure was this done at? and you on totally stock engine internals? Any reliability issues and how long/miles has it been at that power Thanks for your information

Any reliability issues and how long/miles has it been at that power Thanks for your information That dyno was done at around 1.3bar. I rebuilt the engine before the instal but it was completely stock internally except for the cams, I did a 10k miles at that power without any issues before the car was stolen. In good working order a stock 2JZGTE has been proven to reliably handle 600+hp on a day to day basis, see Ian C's earlier post as just one example. Chris Bailey
Quick spool single turbo FTW! My dad recently went single and both of us never look back - Easily the best modifcation done to the car! This is his Dyno graph with the HKS TO4Z.

All true, although the "trundling along in traffic" depends very much on what clutch you have (for the 6-spd MEN rather than the auto boys... ), but only in theory. That's nothing to do with any sort of 'real-world-versus-paper' argument either and all PURELY to do with a point I made earlier: a single Supra is best on boost, so it needs its neck wringing frequently (daily, if you will ) which drops MPG substantially! DaveR
Can be EVEN quicker spool (and more power! ) with a BW B362... I stand by having a single turbo conversion making the car less user-friendly from a day-to-day driveability point of view, but it is SO MUCH MORE FUN that it's entirely worth it. It makes more power but looks to spools up slower than the T-04Z.
jjs_82
So the syvecs is the no1 ecu for the supra.
