Gpro
My afr is in the 10s on boost which is ok but still a bit rich i just need to confirm if i turn the boost up a notch it should lean out shouldnt it? Note: Just converted to a small single turbo running 1 bar with emanage ultimate
Fly
The logic makes sense to me but let's wait for a grown up...
tooquicktostop
Does not sound like the most sophisticated approach to "leaning" out a rich mixture, I would say being in the 10's on boost was a safe place to be
Gpro
Yeah it is safe but i would like a bit more boost for now. I will try 1.1 bar and see how it goes. What would be the most lean you would recommend on boost 11.7?
Tricky-Ricky
Can you not just lean it out slightly in the injector map? or did you not map it yourself? that would be the best way.
Luxluc
I wouldn't go leaner than 11.5 on boost.
mellonman
As rick said just do it on your map, upping the boost may lead to other issues then just sorting your afr
Gpro
I did raise the boost and it when to 11.2 which is good. I will try mapping it myself to raise the boost. Need more fuel now for higher boost
mellonman
The thing is that at the lower boost level in your map you still will be rich Ie you have to go through the rich to get to the correct afr / boost
Wez
Are you monitoring for det? What about your timing?
Ian C
It sounds like you're running a single turbo on the stock ECU with no E-manage map applied? In which case you'll experience a cocked up fuel map, yes I'd be more worried about your fuelling at about 3800rpm under full boost in a higher gear, say 4th. Roll through 3500 to 4500rpm at WOT and let us know what AFR you see
Ian C
Kris H was running an unmapped single turbo and has just found det damage: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?291051-Do-i-need-to-rebuild-my-bloc-!!-pic-inside Early days yet but I suspect they are linked based on the 14:1 afrs you'll see below 4000rpm.
