Rich.2211 Posted May 25, 2013 Share Posted May 25, 2013 (edited) Just popped into the garage to fit my new water pump to the engine (2JZGE) and comparing it against the water pump I've removed there's one pretty obvious difference - there seems to be an extra connection for a coolant hose? You can see it on the front section of the water pump, about 1.5" long. The only other difference I've noticed after a quick look is one less bolt holding the front of the water pump to the rear housing. The replacement is an ADL Blueprint item if that is of any help. Any ideas what this water pump is from? Also, can I still use this water pump and just blank off the extra part? Lee P Posted May 25, 2013 Share Posted May 25, 2013 Thats just the oulet when the pump fails, they didnt all have them. Water will come out of that pipe when the water pump is faulty, put a short bit of hose on it and run it down the side of the alternator.
