Guest monky_ken
So my clutch has been gone a while and today i decided to have a go at replacing it. My question is can I change it just by dropping the prop shaft and heat shield without removing the exhaust?? I'm trying to do this on the floor with axle stands!!![GRIN][/GRIN] there is a non standard exhaust that runs under the prop shaft connection to the diff so slightly straighter and causing an issue with removing the prop. any help or advice is appreciated Edited May 25, 2013 by monky_ken adding information (see edit history)

Guest monky_ken
Yeh but is it possible to do it without? I have every tool under the sun to work with just the exhaust is flexing and would rather not snap it as its the daily at current. any possible ways of doing it or getting around problems? Rich.2211
By the time you've posted on this thread you could of had that exhaust off! Just unbolt it between the first/second cat, get someone to help you and you can remove the whole exhaust in one go. It will take all of ten minutes unless the bolts are seized/rounded. Sorry I can't answer your original question. I do remember the first cat has a bracket that goes to one of the bell housing bolts, so you'll have to undo that bolt anyway. Normally I would have already done it but found a hole in the exhaust between the 1cat and the bolts near the prop and every time i try to undo the bolts the crack is getting bigger... normally would just snap the pipe and go get a new one ordered but this is my daily so cant have it not working... dam not being rich [sAD][/sAD]
