Hi, i was just wondering, if the ball joints can be replaced on the supra A arms?

i was wondering in the event of them needing replacement wether...they can just be replaced like on other cars? or wether we could fit another models ball joints?

idea? i was wondering wether a Hi-lucs.....ball joint replacement could be fitted? i had ideas and was just thinking......im sure if we could get the old ones out, we could use a press after warming the A arm a little to expand it, push in a new ball joint then cool it, so the shrinking grips the ball joint new.

This would help to keep all those waisted A arms!!! alive with there cars?

Anybody thought or has done this...many thanks

No, doubt it can be done. They most likely have nylon type inserts, which on yours will probably be already worn and will just melt with heat. I have a 96 facelift front passenger arm with knackered balljoint and perfectly good bushes here came of a 60k miles car. Balljoint failed due to a torn dust boot.

Yours for postage or free if collected if you want to experiment. :)

The ball joint covers can be replaced but i'm pretty sure the ball joints

are a no go. To be honest if there not designed to be changed bite the

bullet and buy new arms as its just not worth it in my opinion.

I did look on and found companys who make ball joints ..but :( they only make in batches.......so big outlay..think batches of 100.....is there lowest you can order...they do all kinds of vehicles ball joints!!!!!....we could all chip in and buy a batch!1 then take 8 each.....? idea...need to find one that fits though...just ideas..........Hey come back..why are you all running away screaming??????????????????:search:....we just gota do a bit of engineering guys :)

bit of ekky thump..could say for a fast car is it worth it...but we change BMW balljoints and they do fast speeds? so i dont see the problem in replaceing them?
