Why don't you do a drop test mate? At least you'll know which cylinder is missing?

Disconnect the clips from each of the leads where they connect to the distributor cap.

Start the car and using an INSULATED pair of pliers and INSULATED gloves and being very careful, drop one lead out of the distributor at a time and replace it after a few seconds.

When you notice that the engine pitch doesn't change, that's your dead cylinder.

It'll be either a dead plug or lead if not water in the well.

If you haven't already (only skim read the thread) then take the distributor cap off and check it is completely dry inside. If the engine bay is damp then condensation can form in the cap and voila one engine running rougher than a bears backside.

i havnt seen many bears back ends..but im sure there rough aha....thanks rich....mmm checked the distributer cap, and it seemed dry in there, no condensation......thank you though...all helps...everything seems dry this is what i cant make out?......maybe running with the two rear plugs doing a jack couste swimming has damaged them?........i shall take mr joshes advice and try to find the dead cylinders tomorrow, i`ll double make sure, i`ll spray all electrical connectors with MR WD40 fish oil.......and then hair dry every connector and HT lead ....we will find this gremiln fellas!!!!
