Injector sticking?

Is it possible for an injector to stick?

The car has not been used must in the last few years and it feels like it is missing on low revs.

Sometimes AFR's off the scale lean and others off the scale rich.

On the way home tonight in was really hesitating so I put it in neutral and revved it up (AFR's off the scale rich) it hesitated for a few thousand RPM and then cleared and was fine.

Its the only thing I can attribute it to as it is happening randomly (all be it regularly).

Whats the best thing to do? Injector cleaning shit through the fuel or pull them out and send them off for cleaning or am I wrong with my diagnosis?

Single Turbo - 880cc Injectors (UK spec so can't remember if that means low or high something or other IMP?)

Thanks

Jon

Yes injectors can seize up, easiest way to tell, run the car and then pull the plug on each one and listen for the engine note to change, if it does its not that one, if it doesnt then you found the culprit.

It could also be dodgy connectors, I had this on mine, I thought it was spark plugs and did a quick spark plug change in a service station under the sign lighting in the rain, pulled back onto the motorway and still the same, wasnt happy, Ryan refreshed my connectors and job done ;)

I would say so yeah, they are just solenoids so see no reason why not.

Are you running a Syvecs ECU, if so you can test each injector from the ECU with the output testing function, if not I have also seen people just blast them with 12v, ie tap the connector with 12v feed to un-jam them.

Obviously the proper way to be sure is to have them tested :D
