bdh1987
Hi Guys, Looking to get a little more power out of the N/A some time and have seen people are gaining a little from exhaust systems. Any ideas on what i could do here? I persume it would still have a good volume to the sound but was wondering whats best to go for as far as performance goes? Currently the car is standard import from japan Cheers
Ross C
From 1 NA owner to another, if its performance you want, buy a TT. Very, very, very little to gain from modding an NA. Only other suggestion to improve performance is double decat, aftermarket box, clean panel filter within the stock airbox and give the car a full service. Also have a full Geo setup done and have an LSD.

Nic
A well designed tubular manifold, decat and exhaust will gain a few hp and make the car feel a little more responsive but don't expect big gains. You'll probably gain more giving the car a thorough service: fluids, filters, plugs, new OEM Toyota plug leads, OEM distributor cap, OEM rotor arm, OEM oxygen sensors. If you do fit an aftermarket exhaust you'll get the best results fitting one specifically designed for the NA (eg. Blitz NUR R or Fujitsubo Legalis R) these have narrower piping and extra silencers. http://www.blitz-uk.co.uk/ProductItem-2419.aspx http://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/prods/detail/000000000000001336/00000000000000003079/00000396 Edited May 21, 2013 by Nic (see edit history)

Paul Whiffin
I'd recommend http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/index.php/garage-whifbitz-15539.html 2.5" for non turbo use. I also keep decats in stock as well if needed. Cheers Paul

scott87
Have the original system replaced with ss pipe following the same path but removing cats and both under car silencers. Then keep the stock box, it sounds awesome and has made a fair bit of difference on my car
