_Shane_
Can someone have a look at the pic please, the banjo bolt connected to the power steering pump has 2 feeds coming off it as you can just about see in the picture. One of those feeds is going to a T-Piece with one side of it blocked off and the other going to the boost gauge This doesnt make any sense to me at all to why its like this. Boost gauge doesn't read anything which is how I noticed this.
hodge
The 2 vac lines are an idle stabilizer. It's stops your revs dropping when you turn the wheel. 1 pipe goes to a positive vacuum on the intake and the other onto a negitave vacuum on the TB
_Shane_
I tapped my feed for my defi boost gauge into one of them but it doesnt read anything on the gauge when car is running Could i tap into one of the feeds on top of the intake manifold at the rear (think there is 4 there altogether)
Ian C
The two hoses go to a mechanical valve that opens as the pump loads up, letting a bit more air past the throttle body. It's an old skool way to compensate for the load on the pump if the steering wheel is turned at idle. Not a great place to T in a boost gauge. You're better off using the feed off the brass barb on the engine side of the intake manifold.
